One of Total tv’s last efforts was this cartoon about two singing pooches whose comic adventures were shown in four parts. The Beagles themselves were more like Dean and Jerry than John, Paul, George,& Ringo. The cartoon got good ratings (it beat Magilla Gorilla on ABC) but CBS still chose not to renew it. “The Beagles” is really a lost cartoon (as in the tapes are lost), and it appears that kinescopes are the only record of this show’s existence.
