We call it the “OH! That’s mine” syndrom. Our Beagle Rose simply walks up to something, picks it up gently, then walks away assuming it’s now hers. Then, Rose looks horrified when we take it away from her and does a little whining thing. She also “collects” the garbage when no one is in the kitchen.

Depends on the laws there. I prefer curbside. But Iowa doesn’t do curbside. So it goes in a big pile then at some point we take it over to the store to get a migraine.

Our beagle does this too! We had to put our rubbish bin on top of another bin on top of a chair, because just putting it on the chair wasn’t enough!!
